Impact Hub Amsterdam focus on scouting sustainable innovations and creating programs to support sustainable entrepreneurs, both nationally and internationally. Our experienced scouting team brings together large organisations and innovative ventures to facilitate impact that lasts, with clients such as IKEA, Renewi and Impact Nation. Under the guidance of Impact Hub Amsterdam and other European Impact Hubs, we are now developing the new project REACT!, with the goal of strengthening the circular economy. We are involved with European research projects to strengthen entrepreneurship among newcomers, for example through the project MIG.EN.CUBE.

In the coming years, we will continue our work for the transition to a sustainable food system through our national sustainable food chain program, including fast-growing innovators such as Willicroft, ReNature and Boon Bonen. As a part of CIRCO-Hub Noord-Holland, we plan on working together with 150 SMEs over the coming 3 years and help them transition to a circular business model. These are projects that support our mission to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable and inclusive economy.

“I support companies with sustainable innovations through their collaboration with start-ups & scale-ups. In this way we build a bridge between the old and new economy. In addition, in my new role, I want to further unlock the enormous amount of knowledge that is present at Impact Hub Amsterdam. By doing this, we can become even better at helping companies to become sustainable frontrunners, and we can also provide more guidance on what is REALLY needed for a more fair and sustainable economy.“ – Ilse Kwaaitaal

“An important element of my work is building ecosystems around innovative sustainable companies that accelerate the new economy. In my new role I can ensure that Impact Hub Amsterdam will help even more entrepreneurs to start off and become sustainable enterprises, as well as provide connections to investors, experts and customers. There are now examples of sustainable solutions available in every sector, which are necessary to shape a sustainable economy.” – Manon Klein
