Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge

CREATE A MORE INCLUSIVE FASHION LANDSCAPE – Tommy Hilfiger is on a mission to create fashion that Wastes Nothing and Welcomes All. As part of this commitment, they launched the global Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge to support entrepreneurial start-up and scale-up stage businesses that are developing solutions that have a positive social impact on the fashion value chain.

WHY JOIN?

The program prizes aim to provide our winners with the finance and support to grow their business ideas and create the maximum social impact. The winners will receive:

  • Up to € 200.000 and a chance of an additional 15.000 prize for winning the Audience Favorite Vote
  • A year-long mentorship with Tommy Hilfiger’s internal experts globally
  • A place on one fo the INSEAD entrepreneur programs
  • A year-long INSEAD mentorship
  • New this year: finalists will also receive access to the Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge finalists networking platform

FOR WHO?

The impact can be made throughout the entire value chain of fashion: from planting a cotton seed to a second of a garment, to marketing and advertising. We are supporting entrepreneurs who stand up for what they believe in and are committed to driving change in their communities.

LALALAND | Founded and based in Amsterdam, the winning team of Lalaland are contributing to a more inclusive industry by use of artificial intelligence to generate customized and inclusive synthetic models of different ethnicities, ages and sizes, all with over 35 pose variations.
CLOTHES TO GOOD | This is a textile recycling and disability empowerment organistion. Clothes to Good are sourcing post-consumer clothing and fashion and are empowering women and mothers of children with disabilities to become successful entrepreneurs in their own communities by selling recycled textiles.

Building upon Tommy Hilfiger’s vision and acknowledging the gap in equity and equal opportunities, the program strives to amplify and support historically underrepresented communities – Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), People with Disabilities and Women – who are working to advance their communities and foster a more inclusive future of fashion.

Interested businesses are invited to submit project proposals that focus on creating inclusive fashion value-chain. Applicants will be narrowed down to six finalists who will be invited to develop their project plans with the support of dedicated Tommy Hilfiger and external subject-matter experts. With coaching from an experienced pitch coach, finalists will pitch their final concept to a prestigious jury panel and associate audience at the global Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Frontier Challenge final event, which will be held in early 2023.
