Fair Future Challenge 2025: A platform for sustainable innovation

The first edition of the Fair Future Challenge has its winners! 🚀 During a vibrant Product Fair at the offices of Stichting DOEN and the National Postcode Lottery in Amsterdam, 20 finalists presented their innovative, sustainable products and services. And what an inspiration it was! Out of 758 submissions, five entrepreneurs were selected to receive €100,000 each to further grow their impactful businesses.

At Impact Hub Amsterdam, we believe in the power of entrepreneurship to drive positive change. That’s why we are proud to have contributed to the Fair Future Challenge, an initiative that supports entrepreneurs in building a fairer and more sustainable future. By fostering innovation and connecting networks, we help impact-driven businesses bring their solutions to a larger audience.

Together with Stichting DOEN, we have created a platform for innovative entrepreneurs who prove that sustainable and social impact can go hand in hand with successful business. Out of 758 submissions, 20 finalists were selected, and during the Product Fair in Amsterdam, they had the opportunity to showcase their ideas to an audience of investors, buyers, and other changemakers.

And the winners are…

Cooloo – Circular furniture and interior projects made from recycled leather, cork, and denim. Their Endless Life® technology makes reuse easier than ever.

Goodoo – Plant-based ice cream with no added sugars, full of flavor and sustainability.

Jafix.com – A platform that makes repairs more accessible with helpful videos, step-by-step guides, and connections to professionals.

Monkeys By The Sea – Fish alternatives made from sustainable ingredients like oyster mushrooms and microalgae, without soy or palm oil.

The Lekker Company – 100% vegan and cruelty-free skincare without unnecessary additives.

Beyond the five winners, the remaining 15 finalists have also proven that sustainable and social innovation is the future. They presented fantastic initiatives, ranging from circular fashion to reusable packaging solutions.

BFF Honey – Bees Feed Families – from Bijenbaas helps not only bees and biodiversity, but also beekeepers and their families in countries like Ukraine.

Boonzaak – Boonzaak brings biodiversity to the table and lets you taste how delicious local beans are. Starting with tempeh from endangered bean species.

CIRCULR. – CIRCULR. is the sports label with an infectious goal: to make the sports world 100% circular. Old sports materials and clothing are collected and used as raw materials for new ones.

Floral Nectar for Honeys – Floral Nectar for Honeys is the vegan honey successor, a deep golden brew made from unsprayed apples, pears, beet sugar and seasonal flowers and herbs..

Food for Skin – Food for Skin offers a high-quality skincare routine for everyone, with just 3 products. Minimal impact on the earth, maximum results for the skin. It’s all good!

La La Fete – La La Fete offers the sustainable solution for single use wrapping paper. Wrap smarter, faster, more consciously and more beautifully with La La Fete.

Mayoneur – Mayoneur, the innovative start-up known for its surprising and exciting flavors of mayo. Mayo but just a little different.

MENDED – MENDED, the repair platform for clothing brands and retailers in Europe, transforms repairs into a strategic means for conversion and customer loyalty.

No Waste Army – No Waste Army rescues rejected fruits and vegetables from farmers, often rejected by supermarkets for their appearance. Our goal: to stop food waste and change the food chain.

NoWa – No Waste – makes jewelry from gold and silver, extracted directly from old phones. We collect waste phones and turn them into something beautiful.

Reflower – Reflower is the subscription to artificial flowers. It is a circular initiative where individuals and companies borrow permanent flowers from the sustainable flower library. Reduce. Re-use. Reflower.

Retulp – Retulp Mission Indisposable: prevent single use plastic by offering handy reusable cups and food containers that you will enjoy using for a lifetime.

Roze Bunker – The fruit butchers of Roze Bunker make soft drinks as a solution. Each bottle tackles problems, for example by producing circularly – in short chains – and sowing biodiversity.

Ubed – Ubed makes mattresses without foam, but with 3D polyester. This way you always sleep with a proven, optimal temperature. On a super hygienic mattress that is designed to last longer.

Witlof Skincare – Witlof Skincare is 100% natural, vegan and microplastic-free skin care for a healthy and radiant skin. With love for your skin and nature.
