Symbiosis symposium | Blue City

Symbiosis symposium is the annual meeting place for everyone involved in the circular economy. Together with entrepreneurs, bioneers, designers, partners, investors and our speakers, it will examine how to work with nature.
During this event, Impact Hub Amsterdam will present the Circular Textile Innovation program.

Circular Innovation Collective @ Symbiosis

Blue City is hosting their annual symposium, and are inviting everyone involved in the circular economy to participate, network, and be inspired.

ImpactHub will be participating by presenting the Circular Innovation Collective, discussing how the MRA can achieve its goal of 70% circular textiles by 2030.

Symbiosis symposium is the annual meeting place for everyone involved in the circular economy. Together with entrepreneurs, bioneers, designers, partners, investors and our speakers, we examine working with nature. We take the long term as a starting point and compare it to entrepreneurship, climate justice and improving the entire biosphere by acting super-locally. How can we draw inspiration from the generations before and after us? How will the world change if we give nature rights? How do you embed long-term thinking in your company? How can we find new ways of financing to give full opportunity to companies that do business within the planetary boundaries? Can money set up new crafts? In short; how can you as a bionier, established order, thinker, investor and doer contribute to the radical change that is needed?

In a program from 11:00 – 18:00 full of keynotes, deep dives, zoom-outs, tours and tasting sessions, you participate and discover new projects, talk to old acquaintances and new partners and you are guaranteed to go home with a head full of fresh ideas. You can book a Symbiosis entrance ticket or a Symbiosis entrance including a lunch ticket.

Our director Manon Klein and Programs Lead Susan Kessing will be talking about the Circular Textile Innovation Program, created by Circular Innovation Collective (CIC). The CIC’s initiative aims to make the fashion and textile sector circular as quickly as possible and to stimulate high-quality employment through innovative business models.

CIC is a collaboration between three impact-driven organizations, Impact Hub Amsterdam, Metabolic, and Bankers Without Boundaries, made possible by the Municipality of Amsterdam, DOEN Foundation, and Goldschmeding Foundation.
