DEMO DAY - No Waste Challenge

We are delighted to invite you to the Demo Day of the No Waste Challenge 2021. After participating in the half-year Development Programme, the 16 winning teams of WDCD’s No Waste Challenge will pitch their businesses, present their ambitions and share their current needs for growth.

The No Waste Challenge

Rethinking waste through design – This was the thought behind What Design Can Do’s No Waste Challenge, launched in partnership with the IKEA Foundation. Together with WDCD, Impact Hub Amsterdam invited designers and creative entrepreneurs worldwide to submit their innovative solutions to the catastrophic waste issues the world is facing.

From more than 1400 entries, an international jury of design and climate experts selected the most professional, promising creative startups that submitted the most impactful and feasible design driven innovations to join the challenge’s development programme. After completing a 6-month accelerator program with Impact Hub Amsterdam, the winners are now ready for the Demo Day.

The Event

During the Demo Event, the 16 worldwide winning teams of the No Waste Challenge will present their business models, their ambitions and their biggest current needs, such as funding to scale-up, strategic partners and specific expertise. Join us on the 10th to meet these innovative entrepreneurs and help them take one (or more) steps further, and leave the digital space both inspired and engaged!
