From Westerpark to Oosterpark!

“Dear Members of our Community

As many of you have patiently witnessed over the past 8 months, we have scoured the city for your next Hub, visited more than 80 buildings in rain and shine, been in our own investment readiness process, grown as city real estate experts and had too many sleepless nights.  All to come to this pivotal point in Impact Hub Amsterdam’s history where we are so happy to share the news that we have just signed a lease and memo of collaboration we are proud of.  Welcome to Impact Hub at the KIT, Mauritskade 63: our community’s new habitat.

Impact Hub Amsterdam will start the new year by opening its doors as of 1 January 2017 at the historical Royal Tropical Institute building.  In our new location, we can accommodate all our current activities – and more.  50% bigger than our current space, an area at the back of the KIT building that directly steps out into the park will be completely renovated for our community.  Staying true to our values – Impact Cannot Happen In Isolation. It Requires Collective Action – we will be inviting you to into a process of collaborative space-making to have your say and co-create our next Impact Hub, starting in August.  Watch your Hubdate and our dedicated webpage for news.

What is the next level to which we want to take our Impact Hub community and impact? What is possible when we become part of – and grow – an ecosystem committed to sustainable thought and action?  KIT is not only a research and knowledge institute on inclusive economic development, health and intercultural collaboration, but houses 35 organisations working on similar themes.  Impact Hub members will benefit from direct access to valuable content, while bringing our unique entrepreneurial energy.  Together we can do more to convene the courageous conversations and innovate around solving systemic challenges in our city and beyond.

THANK YOU to all for your steadfast support over the last months – the gestures of encouragement, real estate tips, and sharing of dreams for a next Hub, have made all the difference to hold strong for a home in which our community can thrive.”

Let’s Hub!
