About Impact Hub Amsterdam

Every year, thousands of entrepreneurs work on solutions to some of the most urgent challenges of our time – from climate change and circular materials to inclusive economies and regenerative food systems.

At Impact Hub Amsterdam, we help these entrepreneurs access the networks, knowledge, and opportunities they need to grow their impact.

As part of the global Impact Hub network (120+ cities worldwide), we work alongside entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, governments, and knowledge institutions to accelerate solutions for a more sustainable and inclusive economy.

For more than 17 years, we have been building programmes, partnerships, and communities that support positive social and environmental change.

About the role

We are looking for an Office & Events Coordinator who combines hospitality, office coordination, and operational support to create a welcoming environment where colleagues, entrepreneurs, partners, and visitors feel welcome, supported, and able to do their best work.

As one of the first points of contact for visitors, partners, entrepreneurs, and event participants, you help ensure that both front-office and day-to-day operations run smoothly. From coordinating office operations and supporting events to strengthening team culture, you help create the conditions that enable our team and partners to do their best work.

This role is 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week). Working hours are flexible and can be spread across the week in a way that works for both you and the team. There is room for the role to evolve over time, for example by taking on additional operational or administrative responsibilities depending on your strengths and interests.

What you will do

Keep our office running smoothly
Manage shared inboxes, coordinate office supplies and purchases, support colleagues with practical and administrative requests, and ensure our office, meeting rooms, and shared spaces are welcoming and well organised.

Create a great experience for visitors and partners
Welcome guests, support meetings and events, coordinate hospitality, catering, and logistics, and help create a warm and professional atmosphere.

Support team culture and events
Organise team lunches, gatherings, and celebrations, and support the delivery of workshops, events, and internal activities.

Who you are

You enjoy bringing structure to dynamic environments and take pride in helping others succeed, and recognise yourself in the following:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in office management, operations, administration, hospitality, communications, or a similar role
  • You are highly organised and enjoy keeping multiple things moving at once
  • You take initiative and enjoy solving practical challenges
  • You are service-oriented and enjoy working with people
  • You have an eye for detail and presentation, and enjoy identifying interesting moments and stories that can be shared with the communications team.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • You are preferably based in or near Amsterdam

What we offer

  • A central role within a mission-driven organisation
  • An entrepreneurial, international, and collaborative team
  • Flexible working hours spread across the week
  • Significant room for initiative and professional growth
  • Salary equivalent to €3.000-3.200 gross per month, based on experience, and based on a full-time (40-hour) workweek, paid pro rata for 0.5 FTE
  • 8% holiday allowance and 4% pension contribution
  • In-house academy and career development opportunities
  • Access to a global network of 500,000+ impact makers
  • An inspiring workplace at the Marineterrein in Amsterdam

Why this role matters

Behind every successful programme, event, partnership, and collaboration is an environment where people can focus, connect, and thrive.

In this role, you help create that environment.

Your contribution will be visible every day – from the atmosphere in the office and the experience of our visitors to the smooth delivery of events and the support you provide to colleagues across the organisation.
