Masterclass | Hosting Productive Collaborations Online
4, 5, and 11 November 2020, 14:00 – 17:00 CET
How do we bring collaborative processes online and host conversations that matter?
The need for collaboration is as important during the pandemic as it was before. Some argue it is even more important in order to reduce isolation. Yet how can you do this successfully online?
We have all attended webinars, meetings and other online events, where we have been passive, listening to one person broadcasting knowledge slide-by-slide, and feeling even more isolated. Yet, what if your work requires you to bring teams, partners or multi-stakeholders together? What if you need to invite them to share their experiences and perspectives in order to create shared knowledge and solutions? What if you are designing new services and products and seek to engage others in the innovation process?
In this online masterclass, you’ll be guided by an international team of Art of Hosting practitioners with combined experience in diverse sectors. We know that productive collaboration can be cultivated as much online as onsite and that going digital holds many new opportunities. We offer our experience in working with the dynamics of in-person participation and how to adapt them to the virtual environment. You will experience the methods so as to have an embodied understanding of collaboration online as well as learn how to create the conditions for this to happen in your context.
YOU WILL LEARN
Participatory Methods such as Triads, World Café and Open Space that can be hosted online to create authentic exchange and new knowledge
Ways in which participants can collaboratively collect key insights and knowledge using online tools such as Jamboard, Mural, google docs and Miro
Methods that help people to not feel disembodied but able to bring their whole selves
How to use the Zoom technology so that plenary sessions as well as breakout groups can take place
An overall experience and understanding of core elements to remember when inviting, designing, facilitating and harvesting collaborative spaces online
This experiential workshop is comprised of 3 online sessions x 3 hours each on 4, 5, and 11 November, 14:00 – 17:00 CET. You need to be able to attend all 3 days and to use Zoom.
