HUB Impact on Members
“The HUB should be very proud to know that two of the companies that were competing for the Dam Prijs – Amsterdam’s most sustainable company both got their start in the HUB. A Beautiful Story walked away with the prize which is only more proof that the HUB not only is indirectly responsible for inspiring such a business but that the HUB is adding great value to Amsterdam. [...] We still do give it a lot of credit and are extremely thankful for all it did to help GreenGraffiti®. I hope you guys are proud of two of your first companies and you should talk about this great achievement. Without the HUB who knows if either of our businesses would be where they are today. GreenGraffiti® can only say thank you for supporting us and playing such an important role in our business development. Warmest regards,”Jim Bowes, Green Graffiti
“I do a lot with other HUB members and the fact that you have a similar basic interest and intention and you meet each other often in the same space makes it work very smooth and effective. it’s been my home. It’s also been great for international network with Oasis Games all over the world, connections with HUB Sao Paulo and HUB Kings Cross have proved to be valuable.”Niels Koldewijn, Oasis Holland
“The HUB has been involved in every phase of Rambler’s path: from its initiation phase with a feedback meeting at HUB Islington in 2006, to a special welcoming by HUB Amsterdam when it opened in 2008 to organise weekly Rambler workshops with Amsterdam street teens in the HUB space until 2010 collaborating with fellow HUB members and strategic introductions to partners and potential funders. Furthermore, HUB Sao Paulo has provided similar support in a different context in my start-up there. Thank you to the HUB for existing and all it has made possible to grow Rambler socially and economically.”Carmen van der Vecht, Rambler
“HUB Amsterdam is gorgeous and the crew there have done a sterling job. The space is vast and the location devine. Hardest to balance is imposing some form of ID and still having bountiful utility in the space… but they are getting there. Nice and sparky crowd there too.”Andreas Zachariah, CarbonDiem in an e-mail to HUB London
“I experienced an embracement of the concept by the people of the HUB, and that felt reassuring. In the recent developments in the partnership with The Student Hotel, The Hub played a role, as the marketing director of The Student Hotel is also a contact through the HUB.”Jelle Maijer, De Stadskantine
HUB Impact report of 2012
Last year, we were caught in some information overload and we wanted to do something different. Studio WvdV helped us to summarize the entire year in a single infographic and we think it's kind of neat.
HUB Impact report of 2011
